Representatives from Town and Rangers and Wigan boss Roberto Martinez will be at Sunday’s Spanish second division game between Cartagena and Rayo Vallecano to run the rule over home striker Toché, according to reports in Spain. The 28-year-old is out of contract in the summer and is attracting interest from both Spanish clubs and those from overseas.

The UEFA Cup and players from Sir Bobby Robson’s 1981 trophy-winning side will be at the Suffolk Show next week. Several members of the team will be there as guests of the Suffolk Agricultural Association and will parade the trophy at various places around the showground over the two days.

Town loan star Jimmy Bullard is a summer target of newly-promoted Norwich City, according to one of this morning’s tabloids. The Blues are keen to recruit the Hull City man on a permanent basis, but boss Paul Jewell has admitted that with the midfielder having two years left on his £45,000-a-week contract at Hull it would be a difficult deal for the club to do.

Former Town midfielder Kieron Dyer is understood to have been released by newly-relegated West Ham with his lucrative contract up at the end of the season. The 32-year-old spent a month on loan with the Blues towards the end of 2010/11 and could well end up returning to his hometown club on a permanent basis during the close season.

Blues legend John Wark officially opened the Ipswich Town in Europe exhibition at the Town Hall last night, 30 years to the day since he helped the club to the lift the UEFA Cup in Amsterdam after defeating AZ 67 Alkmaar over two legs. The exhibition covers all of Town’s forays into Europe, from Sir Alf Ramsey’s side’s European Cup campaign in 1962 to the more recent trips to the likes of Torpedo Moscow and Inter Milan a decade ago under George Burley.

Defender Tom Eastman has joined Colchester United on a two-year deal having turned down a six-month contract with the Blues. Eastman, 19, will be reunited with his former Town academy coaches Tony Humes and Richard Hall at the Weston Homes Community Stadium.
